High-End or Budget-Friendly: Can you tell the difference?

I'm constantly saving photos of swoon-worthy bedrooms in my inspiration folders, but I often wonder how realistic it would be to replicate these dream rooms of mine since the furniture and accessories are normally much pricier than I'd ever be able to afford. Well, as I was searching Style at Home the other day I came across a post series they run called "High End Low End" where a stylist designs two identical rooms; one entirely with designer pieces and the other with similar-looking affordable pieces. I was in budget-friendly interiors heaven looking at all the spaces they've recreated on half (or less) the cost of the original. This bedroom was my favorite because I feel like it's totally do-able on any budget:

One of these rooms cost $6,000+ more than the other to decorate! Can you tell which one is high-end and which one is low?

Ooooh toughie! I'd say the second one is high-end (and then I checked). They both look amazing though! I love the light colors and airy feel.

Oh, I love this! And I guessed right but I think it's because I have a serious obsession with Sabrina Soto who does the "High Low Project" on HGTV!

I guess right too! The only reason I thought it might be more is because of the studded framing on the bed ;) xx -b.

I did get it right, but that was after studying the two photos veryy closely. Amazing how similar the overall look is! You would never know if you never knew. haha.

What a great find! It takes some resources, but you can save if you put your mind to it.

What a fabulous post! Both rooms are amazing!! I truly can't tell the difference or decide which one I like better! Wish we could see 100 rooms done with both of these scenarios! THAT would be special! Happy Fourth of July to you!!!

No, cannot tell from the pictures. Probably need to feel the furniture and fabric.

I would say the first one is the expensive, but I certainly wouldn't bet on it!
The headboard is what I was judging on.
Happy 4th, Annemarie!

This just goes to show that with a lot of hunting around you can recreate all of the beautiful spaces seen on the internet.

I was wrong! Also, "low" end for me is WAY lower...in fact...I'm not sure I have a budget...lol

I'm guessing the 2nd one is less, but seriously they both look great!!! I love this look though too because I think the neutrals with just a little color makes a room look so inviting & makes me want to just crawl into bed and relax!

So awesome! I got it wrong, but I think the low-end one does look great.

It's a great idea to show budget friendly great decor! People don't realize many times that you don't need to be wealthy to have stylish decor. It just takes some research. Great post! Teri

I think the second room looks more high-end based solely on the headboard... but obviously good style is more important than the price tag of the individual pieces!

I'm guessing that the second room is more expensive. Ahh, the suspense! The curiosity!
